CHEF JOHN WAYNE

 Chef John Wayne Shaw has spent nearly three decades perfecting his craft, but his story started right here in Stephenville. From humble beginnings to leading award-winning restaurants and training the next generation of chefs, his career has been driven by one simple belief: great food starts with uncompromising standards and a genuine passion for serving others.

PROVEN EXPERIENCE

 What began in Stephenville grew into a career spanning 27 years in professional kitchens. Along the way, Chef John opened award-winning restaurants, earned recognition for his barbecue and burgers at the regional, state, and national levels, and became an instructor at the prestigious Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. While teaching, he also authored the school's curriculum for barbecuing and baking, helping shape the careers of future chefs across the country.

 For Chef John, cooking isn't about chasing trends—it's about doing the fundamentals exceptionally well. Every recipe is built around quality ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and flavors that people remember. Whether it's a perfectly smoked brisket, a handcrafted burger, or a seasonal special, every plate is made with the same care and attention to detail. His goal isn't just to serve a meal; it's to create the kind of dining experience that keeps guests coming back.
