TWO SIDES OF THE SAME STORY
Bosque River Taphouse and Maverick Brewing Company are two separate businesses working together to create a craft beer and dining experience unlike anything else in Stephenville. Maverick Brewing focuses on brewing high-quality, locally inspired beer, while BRT pairs those beers with great food and a welcoming atmosphere. Together, we bring everything from the brewhouse to the kitchen to your table under one roof.
CONVICTION OVER COMFORT
Every Maverick beer is crafted by Head Brewer and Certified Cicerone Will Tubbs, whose decade of brewing experience and passion for the science behind beer shape every recipe. Never content to take the easy route, Will is constantly refining, experimenting, and pushing each beer to be the best it can be, ensuring every pint reflects the craftsmanship, quality, and independent spirit Maverick Brewing was built on.
PLATED PASSION
Every dish at Bosque River Taphouse is crafted by Executive Chef John Wayne Shaw, a 27-year culinary veteran whose career began right here in Stephenville before leading award-winning restaurants and helping train the next generation of chefs. From nationally recognized barbecue to signature burgers, Chef John brings decades of experience, creativity, and uncompromising standards to every plate we serve.
